Let's be honest here and this is the context:
you can book a taxi and go there, the taxi waits for you and it costs you around $50 if you stay for a couple of hours.
you can take metro to the train station and find out the bus to go there and it is a bit on an adventure. You can show off how independant you are.

But if you have had enough of adventures and you just want a chill day where you are moved around without wondering how and why then get the Turibus experience. And you will get more that that too.

As usual, having a real human being from the place you are visiting telling you about it is an invaluable experience in itself. And here you are in a bus full of locals being tourists just like you. This is awesome. There is also a guide explaining everything in English and in Spanish. The guy we had (see picture) is a total hero, he spoke non stop for the first hour telling us about CMDX and every municipality we drove by (you don't get that in a Taxi or a bus).

We did the Teotihuacan tour (+guadaloupe cathedral and a artisan shop stop)
It took the whole day but it was worth it for the human experience.
We were only 4 English speaking people and it felt like a private tour.
The cathedral stop explanations were awesome, the legend of Juan Pablo etc. were so well told by our guide, he is such a good story teller.

2 stars because they dont have upper deck covered in case of rain. Other company buses have this arrangement .so why I should purchase turibus tickets ?

price is ok, routes 1 (centro) and 3 (polanco) are nice. but AVOID route 2 (Coyacan / museo Frida Kahlo). it is a total waste of 2.5 hours. instead of sightseeing points of interest to city visitors this route takes you to 4 stops at commercial shopping malls. and instead of going through neighborhoods and side streets it follows mainly Boulevard Insurgentes with heavy traffic followed by a portion on a city highway and trough an exhaust filled tunnel. it's disgusting and boring. if you want to see Coyacan and the Frida Kahlo museum (both awesome!), just take a taxi or public transport. it's cheaper and quicker.

We took our Turiluchas tour from here! It was an amazing experience seeing wrestling in Mexico! It's just unfortunate that our guide didn't speak English.

DO NOT PAY WITH CREDIT CARD. THEY STEAL YOUR INFORMATION. I PAID USING MY CREDIT CARD, THE ONLY TIME I USED MY CARD IN MEXICO AND WITHIN MINUTES I STARTED GETTING FRAUDULENT CHARGES COMING OUT OF CALIFORNIA. I BOUGHT MY TICKETS ON THE BUS! THEY STOLE MY INFORMATION ON THE BUS, BEWARE!!

They do not accept cards here, and they're not sure the bus will do - although the website says the bus always accepts. The website wasn't processing card either... Last but not least, the attendant there didn't speak English.
