It is a weird, cozy place in Mexico City ideal to spend a couple of hours listening to live music. Tonight they had their jazz quartet and the Sparks (a really good rock group). The ambience is funny, there is a magician, a cook preparing caesar salad at your table (claims to be the grandson of the initial creator in Tijuana), the ornaments are son random. A really interesting experience. The food is ok, would skip dinner if I can though, prices are regular but I would just go back for the music and some drinks.

Enter the New Orleans and it feels like a time-machine. The place has not been renovated in decades, it seems, and that is precisely what makes it special. And, after all, it is the mix of live (mostly traditional) jazz and some blues and excellent food that makes this it worthwhile coming here. Such places are increasingly rare, unfortunately.
At some evenings you might be lucky and actually get excellent quality music.
And one thing not to miss: the Cesar's salad, prepared at your table by none other than Alex Cesar Cardini III the great-grandson of the person who invented the salad. I have had many of such salads there and will definitely return

Llegamos sin saber que esperar, pero que grata sorpresa, desde que llegamos nos atendieron excelente.

De la carta pedimos un plato de jamón serrano y queso con bolitas de melón, muy bueno. Servido con trozos de pan y mantequilla preparada excelente.
