WARNING!

To all young people who travels and are looking for a cheap place to stay be warn.

My son, who loved to travel and his hobby was a photography, went to Mexico to travel around, visit many places and take pictures and videos passed away by the end of March in that hotel.

My son daily spoke to me and was sending me pictures of the places he visited or videos which he took on his Canon camera. All the pictures and videos he was storing on his laptop.

On March 27, 2021 my son contacted me last time. On March 28 and 29 I did not receive any responds from my son. I emailed to Canadian Embassy in Mexico about my son as missing person. I also reported him to local Police in Canada as missing person. It took almost 3 weeks until I receive the dreadful news that they found my son who passed away in Mexico City.

My family member who speaks Spanish, my co-worker and also her elderly mother who lives in Mexico were contacting the hotel on daily basis to take as much information as possible.

The owner of that hotel told us that on March 30, 2021 one of her employee discovered my son and phoned the Police. She also informed us that, that employee was the only one who was responsible to clean the room my son was renting. He was the only one who collect all my son's belongings. He passed all the belongings to the Funeral person who made a video showing to me what he received. The employee also point out to the Authorities who were questioning him about my son's Camera and laptop, that there was NO camera nor laptop.

In the belongings were charges to the equipment and I know for a 100% that my son will NEVER give his camera nor laptop to anyone as those items he used daily.

So I will leave you all, who reads this review with a question. What happen to my son's equipment?

The equipment means nothing to me but what matters the most and is priceless to me and family are the last pictures he took and the one he did not share with me.

What kind of a person robbed, scavenge a deceased young person? This is not a person, this is a lower then a rat, this is so unhuman so unthinkable that people like that walk among us.
That person has no soul, KARMA will reach you someday somehow.

Make sure you don't die in that hotel, if you do, you will be robbed to the bone.

BE AWARE!!!

My cousin was an adventurous 27 year old who went looking for beautiful photographs and to meet new people, he chose to visit Mexico and chose this hotel based on his better judgment, He was found dead by a hotel staff member on March 30th , death was presumed to be on this date, My cousin always contacted his mom and posted on Facebook everyday, March 27th was the last day he posted online and spoke to my aunt, this day is what we presume was his date of his passing. Hotel transferred my call to four different staff members between two days when we questioned them regarding his personal items, he had a laptop and a camera were he always photographed nature and people, these two items were the only Items that this staff member did not have when questioned, he only had the charger cables and Microphone case for his cameras microphone, strange!!! he was the only staff member who found my cousins body and contacted police and gave his report, he is the one who stored my cousins Items in storage. When his mother tried contacting the Hotel they were scattered and some quite rude. The hotel stated they check temperatures every day at 1:00 pm which I believe is false. My aunt has to deal with a loss of her only child , and never seeing his last photos or memories he made this is what hurts as well.

This place is bare bones. If you need luxuries, do not stay here. The rooms are only slightly larger than closets. The light in my room made a crackling sound. The internet was weak. The floor was not that clean, though the bed seemed okay. The pillow was very lumpy. You will need to bring your own towels. The shared bathrooms are a little scary. The ceiling above the toilet on my hall had a leak one day and the toilets have the seats removed. They are not very clean. Some of the staff are okay and some act in an oddly unfriendly way. The neighborhood does not seem safe at night, but I felt reasonably safe in my room and in my hall. If you don't care about having anything but a basic twin mattress and a roof over your head, though, it is hard to beat the price. I don't remember exactly what it was but it was in the neighborhood of $10 per night.

Unfortunately there are some noisy guests. Occasionally, I've found bad bugs. In my opinion facilities should me more clear.
