Museo de la Tortura is located in the very center of Mexico city surrounded by many other museums. The exhibitions are appealing to visitors’ imagination about the times of catholic conquistadors that using violence were dominating indigenous people and their culture. The museum is not big but tells the story about these dark times.

It was definitely worth seeing. I am a bit in a loss of words for describing my experience. The items in display really made me ponder about their actual usage. It was an experience I can't quite describe. I felt a bit anxious, but also marveled, and at the same type disgusted. I dare to say it was sorts of an educative experience.

Very cool little museum on different torture devices, techniques and the inquisition. Placards translated to English which was great. Affordable ticket and worth it if you want to kill an hour. Highly recommended.

a few interesting medieval artifacts used in torture just glad there weren't no live demonstrations :/

Much better than I anticipated, not just an over priced tourist trap, very authentic collection.

Interesting museum, entrance fee a bit steep at $60, no photography allowed.
