Cute brunch spot in Lomas. The decor is pretty all blue and white. The menu is varied; I went with friends and we ordered a couple of dishes to share. The açaí bowl was delicious, had many fruits (mango, strawberry, papaya) and granola with nuts. To start we had a few scones my favorite was blueberry and chocolate chips; try them with their raspberry jam. After, we shared Enchiladas with chicken, green and red sauce, they were delicious; then the banana pancakes which were good, they come with freshly whipped cream. The service is friendly but be patient; it is slow. Prices are high but I enjoyed the experience.

Dirty walls and table linens. The matcha-cranberry scone is ok but overpriced and the apple cinnamon was tasteless. Service is super slow and you have to ask the waiters for a simple bottle of water more than once before they bring it to the table. Chilaquiles were ok, nothing awesome; the green sauce is better than the red, but the cheese was not very tasty, probably a cheap brand. Beans were dry. Overpriced in general and untidy.

I had been dying to visit La Lorena, specially for brunch and finally had the opportunity to go. It was wonderful. There is a long waiting list, for which I suggest to arrive early, but the wait was totally worth it. (Also, important to add, the hostess was very friendly and had tons of recommendations until my table was ready). I had the poblano-sauce chilaquiles with shrimp, which were AMAZING. I cannot praise them enough. We were of course offered the home-made scones, which were ok (the nutella was great, but the blueberry tasted a lot like baking powder), they also offer the cream for the scones (which is my only complain: it ended up being around $100MXN). We also had some mimosas: the waiter arrived with the prossecco and asked if we had ordered the bootle (we ended up keeping it, for a fair price). I really enjoyed brunch in here and would definitely come back. There was some lobster-pot-pie waiting for me to visit again.

Excellent cooking.

It must be a good secret, because the place was not that full. But I had the cornishon and enjoyed every bite of it.

Stupendous breakfast. Amazing scones. The best coffee in town. Shabby chic decor like no other in town. Extremely good service. On the expensive side of the spectrum though.
