We had a very pleasant stay in Hotel Juarez! They gave us a room from the top floor so we had a nice view overlooking the rooftops of historical centre of CDMX from our little balcony and were woken up in the morning with beautiful sunrise. Our room was clean and had everything we needed and expected from a decent hotel room. It gets a little cold during the winter as we were there in February but at least there are blankets and hot water available. I think the hotel doesn’t have Wifi in the rooms but the public Wifi of the city reached our room fine. The receptionists and cleaning staff were really friendly and helpful. They stored our luggage safely for the day we checked out as we were flying out so we were able to go shopping and sightseeing. It was excellent value for money as the location was superb!

It is a nondescript, little and hidden hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. While it is simple, it is clean, safe, and the room I stayed seemed recently renovated. For the price it was a very nice deal. I will surely return, but the next time I would ask for a room far from the alley, because on both Friday and Saturday that I stayed there was a party ouside, with loud music until the wee hours of the morning. Nothing a pair of ear plugs can't solve though, but a nuisance nonetheless. It is close to everything, the Cathedral is only a minute away, walking, literally. Right at the entrance to the alley there's a cafe, El Popular, with excellent food and even better coffee and bars, taquerias and all kind of restaurants on a two block radius.
