This was a spartan stay as expected based upon the frugal price. The location was excellent. Close walking distance to Templo Mayor and more. However the building is not plumbed for hot water. Thus only cold showers are available. TV in the common area is not plugged in and has no antenna nor data connection. Rooms are spartan with just a simple bed and old mattress not for the spoiled, needy, or entitled traveler. The slow wifi internet should be sufficient for the average traveler. Overall I enjoyed this place. I have shot a video and will try to upload to provide context.

Price was so cheap that we weren't expecting a lot.

However it wasn't as bad as we thought it'd be. Only downside was traffic could be a bit loud and there were no toilet seats on the toilets.

For the price we can't complain. Would stay again

It was not a nice stay but for the little money (cheapest hostel we could find) totally okay.
My girlfriend and me had a double room with the absolute minimum of furniture (which was little broken) and dirty and thin walls but therefore a comfy and clean bed. The WiFi was okay and the shared bathroom not really nice but with hot water. Staff was not very friendly. The location was very good, straight in the historic center with a metro station and an Oxxo (groceries) straight next to it.

All in all: In every aspect the minimum but therefore a good price.

The place is really cheap in both ways. I wouldn't recommend it, the halls smell odd. The bathrooms are unisex and they are not provided with the necessary, like towel rack. This Is not a place for decent people.

It's an ok place. Was able to snag a room last minute which was a life saver. The prices are affordable. Felt secure inside, bathrooms are generally clean but shared men and women. Beds a little uncomfy but generally alright for short stays.

The best thing about this place is the staff. They are very friendly, eager to help, they don’t speak English but they have google translator opened on the computer :) The location is great too, it’s 10-15 min walk from the historical center, and right next to the metro station. But, there’re a few buts. 1) Noise. If you happen to have a room with a window to the loud street, forget about having a good sleep. They should do something about those windows. It’s extremely noisy in the room with the windows shut. 2) Hot water. Don’t know about other people’s experiences but there was no hot water in my room for 3 days. I had it booked for longer, but left earlier that I was supposed to because of it. I guess if you’re a cold shower lover that won’t be an issue. 3) WiFi. Didn’t work in my room. 4) Lounge room. There’s none. Every floor looks like a hospital, long corridor with doors on each side. 5) It is overpriced considering what it has to offer. Specially if you are thinking to get a private room. You can get much better value in other hotels in the area for that price.

Better book online, since the prices in situ are way expensive for the service they offer.
Basic hotel/hostel, good located in downtown Mexico City, nearby metro station, convenience store, and some landmarks. There is no elevator and you might get a really high floor room.
