Cute Little Hotel in Mexico City!
Pros:
Amazing view of the city and the nearby Museum.
Amazing roof top and indoor restaurant!
English speaking staff available.
Lobby Cafe and Bar.
Watering cans on eat floor.
All together nicely designed.

Cons:
The main entrance stairs are steep, but there is a ramp.
The walls are extremely thin and everyone else in your floor can hear you.
Some of the rooms I visited had the smell of sewage in there bathroom.
The building has multiple unique angles leading to some windows viewing another part of the building.
It’s a bit pricey compared to what you get.

I stayed at Fontan hotel from August 10-12, first impressions while walking in is amazing! Hotel has a modern look, perfume smell around the hotel! Friendly staff and a nice balcony view that I really liked! Only reason I give it a 2 star is because the rooms aren't as big! I payed extra for a bigger room but felt small and did not include a microwave or a mini fridge which is kind of hard to believe because what hotel does not include those? Not sure if COVID has something to do with it. Beds are not comfortable kinda hard and restrooms are very small! Another note the room I stayed in only had 2 plug-ins to charge phones or laptops? Which we’re located by the restroom and flat screen TV ( not near the beds) ? Also TV had a very bad quality. This was my 3rd time in Mexico City, I stayed in other hotels around the area and payed a bit extra but never had an issue with the quality of the rooms.

Its an ok place, didn't like the fact that you cant leave the air conditioner running when out of the room and worse that its a window unit it take a long time to cool the room also power outlets are too fare from the bed making it diff. To keep your phone handy while charging. They have a really nice view from the balcony-bar on the 11th floor.

DO NOT STAY HERE EVER. The worst hotel experience I have ever had! I would not recommend anyone staying here especially if you are a minority. The manager was very rude and the room was terrible. Broken toilet, clogged shower drain that overflowed and broken shower that scalded my skin. The water was boiling hot out of the shower and there was no cold water to temper the heat. I got scalded trying to bathe. Staff was very dismissive of concerns and offered to let me finish showering in another room that night but never changed rooms or fixed the broken shower.

Mexico City Fontana Hotel

AVOID THIS HOTEL !
The pictures in Google are not rooms you get!
I reserved this hotel through the AMEX Travel website thinking it was a good, safe hotel in Mexico City. We arrived at the hotel and could not believe the distress the room was in. The noise from the exterior was unbearable. It sounded like the trucks and traffic were inside the room. It was unbearable. We went to the lobby to ask for another room. They changed out room to another one. When we arrived in the room the noise again was unbearable even at the room was on the other side of the building. At this point we decided that the to pick another hotel and leave the following day. We spoke to the front desk who advised us that we would leave the next day. The clerk told us that we would not be charged for the rest of the reservation just that one night. After spending a night with absolutely no sleep due to the noise outside, the rock hard bed and pillows we went downstairs to checkout. Imagine our surprise when we were told that we would not receive any refund what so ever. We spoke to the manager who told us that the policy is no refund.

**Update, I have disputed 2 nights charge with American Express and the hotel refuses to refund my 2 nights that I did not stay in this dump, disaster of a hotel. Out of good customer service they should have refunded my money which they refuse to do. Another example of why you should not stay at this disaster, dump of a hotel.
Summary of Issues:
The worst issue was he exterior noise in both rooms was unbearable
The pictures of the rooms did not reflect the pictures in the American Express travel portal
The air conditioner did not work well it never cooled the room
The bed was hard
The pillow were hard
The television was falling off the wall
The curtains were not blackout the room was always full of light from exterior
The towels were like sand paper

I don't know why people will make horrible reviews on this hotel!. I had an awesome stay at his hotel. I was there in may. Staffs were amazing. The location was awesome. The food was health. They have an awesome view. Took a lot of pictures. And I shared a king size bed with my sister. Shout out to Arturo. I checked in around 2 Am due to flight delayed for 4 hours. I will definitely go back. And the price for one ight its soo way better then here in Usa. That they dont give you an awesome view guys!!!

Hi We stayed from July 6th thru. 10th. 2022. Our check in process was awful. Front desk with no training at all. We had reserved on line and confirmed by phone a room with Reforma Ave sight and they did not respect that. We had a room with no water and no air conditioning, we requested a room changed and we received one with flooded bathroom. Our time waiting was basically 5 hours to get our room. It is not a family hotel, many parties in several rooms. Some employees saved our staying like the porters, very kind and attentive, Great housekeeping and kitchen individuals. Food was really good. It is not a 4 stars hotel. We really recommend not to stay there.
