This place is just okay. It has all the makings of a good hotel but misses on a bunch of things.
My family stayed in four rooms here over four nights. Three of the rooms had air conditioning problems - the air conditioning turns off and back on by itself. The fan keeps running, but the little snowflakes symbol turns off. The "mode" button doesn't work. I'm not sure if this is centrally controlled in order to save energy, but it is very frustrating. Many rooms have the AC set to 10°C which is probably intended to maximize the cooling whilst the AC is actually on.
We had keys stop working at least 3 times. It may be the case that when a new key is added all others stop working (and need to be reset), but staff didn't seem to know. We were also told that we must have stored keys too close to cell phones - not a real thing - but even when deliberately avoiding this keys would still stop.
The breakfast was quite good one day, but the other days was completely cold. Then they bring new "hot" scrambled eggs and just mix them in with the cold.
We booked adjoining rooms - as always we were told that nothing can be guaranteed, etc so we specifically called to ask whether it could be confirmed, and were told that yes, they could arrange adjoining rooms for us. Of course upon check-in those rooms were not adjoining.
The bathrooms have the usual "save the Earth, save water, reuse towels" information, but there's only one small peg on which to hang a towel. Only one towel could fit there, and it wouldn't dry. I'd happily save water and reuse towels, but they are not making it easy for me.
Beds are pretty good. Rooms are modern. It's not cheap by Mexico City standards, but is nicer than many. Just get the little things right.
