A wonderful find in the back streets of CDMX. Near the US Embassy - this Spanish restaurant has wonderful tapas and a weekly menu that changes every Monday. The owner has a passion for food and it shows. The chefs recommendation are always on point. Buen aprovecho.

Often when it comes to good food, it is not about how fancy the place is. A great example is El Tapeo in Zona Rosa in CDMX. As the name indicates, it is a tapas place and some other Spanish specialities. If you are into tapas, look no further, this is one of the best places I have been. Don Enrique, a Castilian from Madrid, makes sure that every tapa is right. It is a non assuming location with excellent food and service.

Amazing place. The tapas are so good and so filling. Great wine and service. The chef even gave us a complimentary plate of tapas.

We ate dinner here twice while visiting CDMX. It is a delicious, with such a variety of tapas. A nice surprise in this city that we came across. The owners are so kind.

Great place! Real Spanish traditional food. Try tortilla with morcilla and tapas. Owner is so nice and service is amazing. Cheap and tasty.

Stumbled upon this place randomly, and blown away by the quality of the food! I don't normally leave reviews, but felt compelled to after eating here. The Pulpo a la Gallega was the first time having Pulpo that tasted as fresh and well cooked as when I lived in the Canary Islands! The lettuce in the Ensalada de Cogollo was crispy and tasted as if it was picked earlier in the day. I'm only upset that I found this place my last day in the city! I came very early in the night, but it is a small place and many places were reserved already, so I would recommend making a reservation to guarantee a spot.
