Super safe, people is super nice, walking around is great. Surprisingly clean too.
Some of them are taking card payments now which makes the shopping experience better for me, since I don't walk around with cash anymore, so I filled up my car with plants and flowers. I even got a small tree. Beautiful experience.

Plenty of horses to take a ride on. Parking is free. Park is pretty clean and safe.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Xochimilco. We had to walk quite a bit to get to the dock but it was worth it. The fare for an hour trip in the trajinera was $500 pesos which for us was expensive cause we were only two. But if you go with a large group of family and friends, price will be worthwhile. Don't forget to take your own beers and refreshments, and whatever you want to eat. You can buy everything there but it will be more expensive. You can even bring your speakers to enjoy your music. If you have enough budget, you'll be able to afford the mariachis. Be ready to have a great day.
