The drag shows were awesome, I really enjoyed them. I was left weary though about my whole experience. I was left wondering, “Is this place full of thieves?”
I was told by TWO dancers the “private dances” cost $300 mxn, yet I only got $100 mxn back from the first dance when I paid with a $500 mxn bill. I thought “Oh! Maybe the dancers were off since they don’t actually take the cash.” I sadly gave the dancers the benefit of the doubt. I know red flag! I should have walked away. The dance was fun, so I guess whatever.
I paid for a second “private dance,” but the dancer rushed me upstairs before I could get my change. I asked if dancers had different costs for “private dances,” and he said no. I asked about the change, and he said I’d get it after. I waited and nothing. I asked the waiter and he was like you didn’t pay me. The dancer was coming down the stairs, and I was it was with him. Then he (the dancer) said it was the other waiter “nowhere to be found.” You know! I was like whatever, yet it all felt fishy. I went to pee since no one seemed to care I had been swindled.
As I waited for my Uber just outside, there was a brawl over a stolen phone. A girl swore up and down that a dancer had snatched it. I was left wondering if maybe the dancers and waiters do some thieving there. I frankly don’t want to return and find out it was NOT a one time fiasco.
Great drag queens though!
