We adore this zoo. The very well cared for animals roam free, while the humans are behind the fences. All the plains animals are free to interact with each other, and seem very comfortable and well fed.

Free experience makes it certainly with the trip. Wander thru the park and see many animals. Our favorite area was the reptile cages with all the turtles. Maybe a 1/2-1 mile loop all on pavement. Snacks and drinks are available.

Excellent place to visit. Some animals can roam freely. The guides are very kind and helpful.

It's free entrance, although you need to pay in case of any ride or tour. Tours are around 5 pesos. Sightseeing building is for free. Due to the really hot weather I suggest wear a cap or hat, use sunscreen and bring your own water because stores inside are a little expensive.

This is the best zoo ever! Very beautiful terrain and the animals look happy and healthy with lots of room to roam and socialize! We took a ride on the catamaran after walking through and I'm so glad we did. The monkeys have there own island, (no cages!) How brilliant is that? There was no admission charge for anything either! Merida really has it going on, what a wonderful city!

Not a lot to see the train ride is short but it's all free we saw some animals it's very interesting though!

Free. Great water area for kids. Has a boat safari, truck safari, play ground for kids. You can get pretty close to the animals.
