Although I prefer eating where other locals do, Casa Canela was well worth it. I had chilaquiles divorciados (half green/half red sauce) beautifully served.

Food good for yucateco type food. Tables were not clean. Had to ask to be wiped down. Small menu. We went there as we were told they had a large selection, maybe because of Covid they made it smaller. Did not ask. Corn bread they are famous for was ok. Not the best we have tasted in Merida. Coffee good. Service good. Bathroom clean.

Good food, good service. Casa Canela makes their own cornbread, a must try. I treated myself to an order of chilaquiles divorciados with eggs. I ordered them overeasy - "volteados, tema suave" but the yoke was more like over medium. Notwithstanding, our breakfast was very good, and I was particularly surprised by the Molletes being rather large.

Tha Chai latte and the corn bread are amazing. Love it. The ambiance is so nice, good service, clean and cozy. I recommend it.

Good food. Went for breakfast. Nice jumping castle for the kids etc. Great service. Recommended
