Beware. This hotel looks great in the online photos, but you will probably be sorely disappointed upon arrival. There is no restaurant, the bar is closed, they will not serve you a beverage or snack of any kind in the common areat. In fact, the entire lobby/restaurant area is dark and looks as if the hotel is closed for business. The rooftop area has nothing going on. It has 2 swings and some seats, but it is basically closed, as well, aside from the fact that you cannot get any drinks, etc. up there. Also, don't be fooled by the two photos of the one patio with a small pool and the other with twin soaking tubs. Those are only for whoever rents those rooms. The swimming pool photographs nicely, but it is practically unusable; there are no lounge chairs, only a few wooden chairs placed in awkward spaces; it is impossible to have a good pool experience there. All of that being said, the rooms are pretty good - super comfy pillow top mattress with good comforter (though bad-fittimg bottom sheets), great towels, nice shower, new/high quality sink u0026 toilet, a safe, nice dark wood cubicles for storage. Some spots in the room are a little rough around the edges, though no major abrasions. But overall the hotel is Deadsville with NO services I repeat NO services. You can get breakfast ONLY if it's part of your room rate. For the price, which is seemingly reasonable for such a cool-looking, historic, funky property, you will get no services, and even the staff is not helpful and doesn't seem to know what's going on. Great location, though.

I booked the Suite with a private Terrace and pool for three days. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece and said to be a renovated mansion dating back several hundreds of years. The aesthetics are amazing and the design was well thought out and executed flawlessly. From the exterior facade you'd never guess that such a space existed which I believe is intentional and with purpose.

The hotel is located within walking distance to most plazas and downtown spaces and a short Uber ride to places further out. The room itself was nicely designed with the terrace and private plunge pool being an over the top amenity and just what I was looking for. I will say for such a nice suite I was surprised that there was no refrigerator in the room. The terrace and plunge pool space was private and blocked from street views or views from the other suites and looks out across downtown. Since this is not a typical downtown space you will not find tall buildings blocking views and sunlight. There was another suite with a private terrace and firepit along with other rooms without a terrace, plunge pool or firepit. Options for different tupes of stays.

The hotel staff were available whenever I needed or wanted anything and even walked me to a restaurant a few blocks away one night when I was looking for something local and authentic. Everyone was so gracious.

While the hotel does have a restaurant and bar they do not appear to have a fixed menu. I suspect you can request a dish and they may go out of their way to accomodate the request but am not sure. There is a main pool located on the second floor that is available for use by all guests as well as a number of dining spaces and a bar on the first floor of the hotel. My guests and I were the only ones in the hotel during our three day stay so it made for a very nice and unique stay.

Great staff, unique hotel close to Centro. 15-20 minute walk (very safe) gets you to the action.

Supposed to be a unique hotel, but unfortunately due to the pandemic the restaurant is not open I was looking forward to try the traditional Mexico food in the Hotel. Do still have breakfast.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. I travel a lot, stayed in hotels in many major cities and this makes my top 10.

(Translated by Google) The hotel is nice, the staff is super friendly and helpful, but it lacks maintenance. The rooms are black and a bit gloomy. They have burned out lights, the phone in the room did not work and the shower was clogged. The elevator was also broken; half of my family (elderly) had to move to another hotel because the stairs are very high and somewhat dangerous.
