Getting lost inside a local market is how i like to know a city, but I also always try to pass by the best supermarket in tow,,, and León has a good number of them including my favorite HEB (from my days living in Texas) and at this location, a Costco next door. I couldn’t resist going to both.

At HEB I found a whole section featuring products from local companies and bought some Mexican treats to bring back home. Their bulk section also had some high quality local spice blends that always make good gifts and are easy to pack in a carry on suitcase.

Their liquor section covered an entire aisle with a fantastic selection of mezcal and tequila, and this location also has a restaurant area and sells pre-prepared food. The chicken milanesa was delicious and the variety offered that day was pretty good.

Even though I no longer live close to an HEB, it’s still one of my favorite supermarkets and I would not pass the opportunity to visit and do some shopping. By the way, those recycle bags also made some good souvenirs and come handy when traveling around.

Also a plus, the huge underground parking to keep your car cool and the possibility of getting a car wash while you shop.

To my experience, it is the best place to shop your grocery in Léon, GTO up to now, April 2022. It could be better. Hope you find the way to better serve your customers.

Love this store, though sometimes the prices don’t correspond and you have to wait at the cashier to verify them. I recommend taking photos of the prices just in case ????!

Great store, found a carry on size suitcase for 899 pesos, about 40 us dollars, and it was cute!

Bought 3 trays of NY steak on Sunday 2/6. Would have asked 2 employees working in the meat department to prepare for me, however, they neither bothered to acknowledge me nor give the time of day. The trays had an experatoin date if 2/8. Upon cooking and consuming 2 of the the trays my wife became seriously sick on Monday with food poisoning. Symtoms included thowing up, stomach cramps and feeling you were going to faint i.e, general malaise. Almost ended up in the hospital emergency room. I had cooked the 3rd tray the night before and luckily did'nt eat any of the meat. After cooking the 3rd tray my wife was complaing that it smelled bad. On on Tuesday my son and I became sick as well. My wife had to pick my son up from school and he almost fainted on the way home. I went there today Thursday 2/10 and told one the employees about my experience abd got the same blank stare I recieved on Sunday. Needless, to say i'll never buy meat from this place ever again. Was going to give no star rating however to post a rating was required.

I love HEB. They have a great selection of all kinds of items. They are even stocking Keto friendly foods!!! Very clean and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
