Expect to be here at least 4 hrs, everyone is really kind and service is great, even the security guards have all the answers and walk you though the process, but the interview line is very slow. If you end up having to pay a fee here, make sure to bring cash as their card reader seems to be 80 years old doesn’t work with any card. If you need your visa expedited make sure to let them know, I was able to pick up míen the same day just a few hours later

I'm an Indian and I went for H1B extension recently. It took me 90 minutes overall to complete the process and come out of the embassy .
Locker facilities are available around the embassy. More than 7 interview counters were open and functional. Supporting staffs are good and helpful.

Pretty hectic and stressful to have all the documents and need to have everything exactly and finding available appointments are long and not easy but besides that, it was good.

but the guard deserves a raise. almost falling asleep.

While I appreciate the fact that the consulate processed my emergency passport when I needed it, I wish their employees would give accurate information as to what documents are needed when going to the consulate. Twice I've shown up and been told that I need more documents, even after verifying in person. Not to mention the long curly haired person in charge of calling people back to the gate is absolutely rude and has no problem talking down and over people who are simply asking questions. Point being, I was incorrectly informed about the documents and that person totally gaslighted me as to what I'd been told to bring with me even though I wasn't rude or combative was only letting her know I hadn't been fully informed. I have no problem bringing the correct forms and documents with me as I have them anyway, BUT I should have been told to bring those documents from the get, and definitely should not have been talked down to and over by that gate person when I was simply seeking clarification from a government employee. Period.

We arrived on time and there was no line, after a quick documents check we were inside. I was allowed to bring my car keys with me. Social distancing is strictly enforced inside the building along with higienic measures. The line moved reasonably quickly and the staff were professional and respectful at all times. People that needs accommodations were moved to another line for faster service, which is a good thing. Overall a good experience

I wish I could give zero stars. Total run around, very rude staff..trying to get an emergency passport is a joke. Today they turned away almost everyone that showed up for help. I needed help, raised my voice slightly and they completely turned on me and said they are security and they have the right to refuse my service. I filled out a form for an emergency passport...then they review it...and then they turn me away. I thought they were supposed to help Americans but instead treated me like garbage.
