I have just finished one of the most delightful dinners I have had in over a year. That includes stints at Central, Maido and Pujol [for you die hard foodies]. What comes from the kitchen here is beautiful and artistic.The flavors are bold, compelling and inventive. Its hard to pick a favorite - The Ensalada de Hojas, the Chef Darren's take on Chiles en Nogada [I won't ruin the surprise but its playful and stunning] or the fabulous rift on Lechon [which was moist, flavorful and not greasy]. The chef is a genius. Clara, the powerhouse who brings this all together, and her hospitality team are amazing and have made a special place they should feel proud of. I have spent the last year eating at well over half of the 2018 Best Restaurants in Latin America and it is a travesty Lula is not even mentioned on that list. That needs to change in 2019.
