I just open by saying the owner was kind and requested our feedback regarding our meal. Unfortunately, our experience and our meal were not good.
Upon arriving I appreciated we were provided the opportunity to choose our own table. As well, the button at the table to request service was a nice touch considering the layout of the restaurant could prove to be difficult for keeping watch over customers' needs.
The first service fail was having to request water four times. From there the issue was the food itself. My friend had spaghetti and I chose the Hawaiian Chiaba.
The lasagna was served without bread. Okay - we didn't read closely enough. That's on us. My friend said the dish tasted like a boxed meal.
I had the Hawaiian sandwich. Sadly, the ham in the sandwich was a single slice of deli meat. The rest of the sandwich was caramelized pineapple and mayonnaise dressing.
I am not sure what drove the owner to begin to service our table, but he was very kind and requested our feedback. We shared both of the notes above. Maybe it's because I'm American, but it was definitely interesting to hear, "We would have put more meat if you'd asked." Fair point. I didn't ask. His comment was not defensive and he apologized for our experience.
Nice guy. Space was cute. The food was nothing more than what I could buy late night at the Oxxo.
