Take a walk past orange and guava trees in this quiet part of downtown to find the birrea shop owned for three generations in the same location. Same flavor for 80 years!
Friendly staff, some also speak English if your Spanish is not up to par.
Come to eat with the locals. $130MXN for more food than two will finish

Good option in downtown to taste one of the best birrias in guadalajara, personally I prefer this than the 9 esquinas one. Place is small so plan your visit if coming with a large group. Be early at the place otherwise birria options will be limited. There is a bar in front where you can taste the most common tequilas for reasonable price to assist your digestion.

Excellent Birria. A good tomato base with onions. Great service with 3 different kinds of sizes of birria. Cumbia music and market bargaining can be heard off the street. Mexican food and experience at it's finest.

This is the best birria in Guadalajara, every time. Tortillas made just before they are brought to your table and great refried beans. The stew is tasty and the meat delicious, a must visit!
