Very central location and very economical. With the low rate comes noise from the disco next door, but rooms are clean. Ok hotel when you are on a budget and can sleep even though you hear the beat from the dance music next door.

My first time at Hotel Sevilla de Guadalajara S.A. I came with two friends. One who has been here before and told me it was a gay hotel. I looked on the hotel's website but found nothing showing this hotel being marketed as a gay hotel. However, I recommend any GLBT traveller to stay there. The location is right in Centro Historico, one of two gay areas. There are gay bars right next door. This is a budget hotel. It is very clean and if it is just a place to sleep if you need nothing more than a bed and shower. There is a mounted TV with cable television from MegaCable. Lot of the programming is in Latino Spanish dub and there are the local channels and national channels. Ever wanted to catch Catfish Brasil, Acapulco Shore, or Teen Mom UK? MTV Latin America is 606. Keeping Up with the Kardashians is on E! on 116. The hotel has other gay travellers or other GLBT's in the rooms. They mostly sleep in to nurse hangovers and stuff. The restaurant was closed during my entire visit. I never ate there. The price board might need updating though. My room was decent size. One bed. There was a remote control attached to a phone cord. The wall mounted TV set and a small closet and a small bathroom and shower. The shower has a high water pressure and hot water. There is also a ceiling fan. There was also a complimentary basket of soaps, shampoo and shaving cream packets. There was complimentary water bottles on the desk. There wasn't a rule about visitors. Most Mexican hotels charge for visitors but this one does not. So GLBT's bring your tricks. Have fun, be merry, be gay! ¡Viva Mexico!
