I was not @ the MIA, but besides it or in front of it celebrating the 491 anniversary of the city foundation, that even was good.

First class facilities, It has a very large theater, but the seats are not very comfortable; In these facilities is located the museum that with audiovisual media educates and helps against addictions; it has a coffee shop, clean bathrooms but lacks on a parking lot or structure. You have to park on the street. friendly staff.

The MIA (Museo Interactivo sobre las Adicciones - or Interactive Museum about Addictions in English) was a great experience.
The tour here was very informative. Fernanda did an absolute stunning job at emphasizing the importance of one's health - mental, physical, or otherwise. The tour was very unique in several ways. It brings attention to many forms of addictions. This was not limited to drugs, as it included a wide array of addictions, such as alcoholism and gambling (among many others). The museum did an amazing job at describing the common causes and effects of such addictions and how they are, in fact, very much preventable. The tour itself was hands-on, which helped deliver the message more effectively. It puts you in the shoes of not only the addict, but the loved ones of said addict. The museum has done amazing work in bringing attention to the all-too-common issues associated with addiction. Museums like this one are unheard of in the United States. As previously stated, this museum is very unique and likely the first of it's kind. I highly recommend taking the time to receive this great experience. I promise you'll walk out much more knowledgeable on the subject. It was truly eye-opening. Kudos to Fernanda for delivering the message so effectively and hats-off to the crew as a whole for being a part of it all. I hope to see more museums like this one in the future.
