The Hotel San Marcos “Grand” probably lived up to its name once, but now it’s just sad, tired, and underfunded. The only reason it gets two stars from me is because the staff were all super friendly.

As nice as the staff was, though, they couldn’t hide the fact that the the furniture looks straight out of the 80’s. The bed is comfortable in that “all the mattress springs have lost their bounce” sort of way, and the padding on the chairs has long since been flattened by a million rear ends.

If you do choose to stay here, bring house shoes… judging by how dirty my socks got while unpacking my bags, the carpets are in desperate need of a deep cleaning. I put my shoes back on after that.

Lastly, it’s worth pointing out how bad the WiFi is. If you open your door and sit in the doorway, you’ll get 5-6 Mbps… but if you actually like privacy, and you sit at the bed or table (i.e. further back from the door), you’ll be lucky to get ONE Mbps. If you can connect at all.

So. If you haven’t guessed, I won’t be coming back… there are some beautiful AirBnBs around that cost less than a night at the “Grand”. Do yourself a favor and book one of those instead.

Elegant. Rooms clean and well appointed. I loved the valet parking. The indoor restaurant served good food. The room came with breakfast and was good. One of the choices, huevos rancheros.

It's a hotel that is located on the main avenue of the city center, has valet parking in an underground parking, has conference area, restaurant and very spacious rooms. It's appearance has a Victorian style with statues, paintings and a long staircase. One of the best in the city.

One of the truly great hotels in Culiacán! ! Stayed in a double bed suite for 1,300 pesos ( less than $60)!!!!! VERY nice rooms, beds, fiat screen tv with cable, very hot water y price included the breakfast buffet (free). Has hair dryer, iron, shampoo y oils, plus a sewing kit in the room. They also have transportation to y from bus or airport--although they charge a small fee to the airport!! The breakfast buffet is very good, however, you may order from the menu if you prefer. Super fast (free) wi-fi in the whole hotel y the restarant adds to your enjoyment also!!!!!!

We were in the lobby and had a very enjoyable and fun time, They have live music and they sing all kinds of musical genre, They have an excellent service and the prices are very accessible, There you can dance or just sit and talk enjoying a drink, they also have parking with free valet parking.

Clean room with a great view of the city. Located in the center of the city. Helpful staff. Buffet breakfast was nice, good taste.
