The food was tasty and portions were fine as well as the service.

But if you are not used to the tap water, don't order cold drinks or anything with ice as it can trigger mild food poisoning. I drank a portion of orangeade and thoroughly regretted it afterwards. If they filtered the water that they use for drinks and ice, I'd given them 5 stars.

Hot drinks and soups should be fine though.

Walked over for a day in Juarez to visit the Sunday market from El Paso. Even if there's a long line, they are really efficient and turning tables fast. The food I tried was just mediocre, not much flavor or salt. My friend liked the mole, but I don't recommend the Chili relleno. Stuck to cooked foods to be safe, but my friend ordered the guacamole and like an idiot I took a bite of that. Definitely was ill that night, can't say it was worth it.

It's a really nice place to eat. I was here on Thursday at around 6:30 pm and they had live music. I ordered a beef stew, it was really good. They have a variety of plates; stews, steak, fish, eggs or hotcakes for breakfast. You can come alone or with friends and there won't be a problem. It's cozy and it has a family type of environment. The only inconvenience I had was the wait time. It took around 10 min for someone to give me a menu and another 20 to 30 min for me to get my food. I highly recommend it if you want to have a date with your girlfriend or maybe a family night out.

Amazing place! Food is phenomenal. There is a wait to get seated but it's worth the wait. If you're touring the city, this is a must to eat Mexican food! They know what they're doing since they've been around the early 1900s (the menu has the story of the restaurant). My grandmother used to eat here with her colleagues on payday since it was a very luxurious restaurant.

Suggestion; the orange juice is natural and no sugar needed. The oranges are constant brought from the mercado (around the corner) and squeezed right there and there!

We had eaten at the other location several times and it was really good. This was the first time at the downtown location... the service was lacking and the food was not that good. I will not go back.
