Awesome restaurant. Live piano music. Cozy and elegant venue. Great service. Our waiter was super efficient. Prices were great. Loved the ribeye steak. Drinks and wine selection by the glass were great too. Pecan pie is a must! Overall, the perfect option for an upscale lunch or dinner in Chihuahua.

This place was super fancy, but food was not that good. Not good flavor. Food was cold, even the coffee was cold and not fresh. The waiter was really nice and friendly. I will not go back to this place.

Well appointed steakhouse in the fantastic Distrito Uno. Highly recommend the cowboy steak on a salt block.

La Calesa is known in Chihuahua for being the best steak house. They remodeled the restaurant and moved locations. It is known for its great food and service. It is aesthetically beautiful, however my experience was subpar.

I went to this restaurant with my mom and aunt on a whim. We ordered three different steaks and cream soup. The only enjoyable part of our meal was the soup. My mom ordered well done, my aunt ordered 3/4 done and I ordered medium well. My aunt and my mom’s was medium and mine was well done. My aunt and mom didn’t want to complain but I decided to complain. This guy apparently called “the Captain” rudely took my plate and said he’d bring it back after I complained to him. He was extremely rude.

He brought me back my order and as I cut into it, it was rare. I didn’t eat it, I paid the bill and took it home. I complained to the waiter while I paid my bill and when I got home I called and complained. I complained about the service and the food, frankly I expected better.

In addition both my mom and aunt fell sick later in the evening. After I called the following happened:

1. They didn’t offer any recompense
2. They apologized
3. They asked if I’d be returning

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, I left extremely disappointed and unsatisfied and let them know it.

One of my preferred steakhouses in town. Capitan Simon always turn our visit to La Calesa in to an excellent dinner with steaks and good wine. Try M of Mariatinto red wine.
