You get what you paid for, except tv remote controllers did not work well; there are no phones so say goodbye to the wake-up call and room service.
The reason why I gave it 2 stars is this phone abasence makes it a safety hazard in case of an emergency. You will not be able to call in something not working and should somebody try to break-in you're on your own. If you have a cel phone with you that actually works you may be able to call 911 in any case but hotel staff, no! LOL
Family friendly? Definitely no, I would not expose my family to this; if you can afford it get somewhere else that at least has phones in the room to get in touch with front desk and staff. I will be visiting again, because I travel alone and I know what to expect but it's not for family nor tourism. The part of town is downtown and well it's dilapidated and dangerous the hotel itself situated in some back alley as is.

Went again; called in to reserve. When I got there they didn't have me down. They had rooms available and that is the only reason I would've got a room for the night, but then since I had bothered to call them and they didn't even bother to book me, it was early enough and I decided to invest my time and money in heading back home, so I did and I did not stay the night. Sorry, next time I'll just drop in if I run the same chance of no vacancy regardless.
