Normally I love this place but my last experience wasn't very good. I asked for the Ceviche Especial which should have had shrimp, crab, caracoal pulpo and osysters. It came with just shrimp and a very small amount of crab.
When asked the waiter shrugged and said that's all we have but I know that wasn't true as my boyfriend had caldo de mariscos with all that seafood in it.
The waiter refused to change my food unless we agreed to pay for this dish first. Wasn't going to happen so I ate it.
Honestly, it was delicious for what it was but it wasn't what the menu described. And when the bill came he refused to charge us just the price of the normal ceviche or a bit more for the tiny amount of crab that was it in.
I have to say I think this would not have happened had we had the other waiter there that usually waits on us and takes excellent care of us. This particular waiter we had that day was unpleasant from the start and out and out rude at times. That seems to be his typical attitude with gringos from what I've observed in the past.
Like I said, normally I love this place and always bring friends who come to visit me. And my boyfriend's caldo de mariscos was delicious. But next time if he's the only waiter available, I'll get up and leave.
