Blue Coconut Cancún Hotel

This kind of place is why I don't trust booking.com or the likes. Always bad surprises and fake advertisement with them. I'll only use Airbnb from now on.
Listing says it has wifi in all rooms, but they omitted it's only for half the rooms. Also no towels or even a bed cover. The staff isn't very cooperative either.

Reply to owner: This is on your listing "Featuring a private bathroom with a shower, rooms at the hotel also feature free WiFi, while selected rooms also feature a garden view."
Not very honest now are we?

This is motel for US$30 per night no AC no TV No Wi-Fi And it's not a good Area either!)

Excellent stay. The room was nice and clean. AC and TV in the room, bathroom had a shower and toilet that worked well. Super comfy king size bed. The staff was amazing, super friendly, helpful and speak English. Especially the owner was very kind and gave us recommendations and even offered us a ride here and there. Overall I felt very safe at the Blue Coconut.

Do you not stay here! First of all this is a bad area that you can’t walk around in. Secondly we specifically wanted to book a hotel room with a pool… The pool was so dirty no one could even use it. We paid for two weeks and only stayed one night we tried to explain to them and cancel our reservations but was told it was “non-refundable“ this hotel was not as advertised and we lost out on all of our money because we could not stay here and had to move to another hotel.

Positive: The room was very spacious and the bed confortable. And for Cancun the price is very much ok for what you get, even more because we didnt spend much time but just slept there and used it as a "home base" for our daytrips. The girl working at the reception was really friendly and helpful, the man seemed a bit less motivated. They were very uncomplicated when we decided to stay one night longer.. Negative: Since it is not the most central location we asked the staff for dinner recommendations. Unfortunately they weren't really able to recommend something. Oh and dont go there for the swimming pool, at first we didnt even see it. It doesnt really invite you to have a swim (also the water didnt look the best...)..

Positive: The english speaking stuff is a real plus ;) the stay was ok for a one night. The room was clean and ac worked well. The price was adequate. Would recommend it for those passing by theough Cancun.. Negative: The surrounding area might be not so nice ;( we saw a guy all covered in blood around the hotel. Hopefully we were with car and all the place is secured and the hotel gate is closed. The swimming pool- hmm would rather take a shower then relax there ;).

Friendly staff, good communication before and during visit. Clean room and bathroom, inviting Courtyard and pool. Morning breakfast available. That was helpful in directing me to food in activities. Incredible value, thanks so much!
