Not in the Zona Hotelera or Diamante but within a short drive or taxi/bus ride. Don’t be afraid to get on the shady looking buses. It’s a fun, new experience (you’ll feel like your at the club, especially at night with the lights and music, with the locals just trying to get to/from work). Some taxi drivers will try to overcharge you to get you around town. Very relaxing, family oriented environment in this area of Acapulco as opposed to the fast paced, crowded environment of Zona Hotelera/Diamante. Hotel is open concept. Everything is open to the natural air outside. Has two pools (adult and kids). Has a pool side bar and gym (closed during COVID). Rooms were nice size. Beds sleep 2 adults per bed. Bedding was clean. AC worked. Only issue is that it’s above the beds and so all the cold air hits you while you’re in bed. Balconies all face the pool with a nice view of the beach in the distance. Shower water was cold but you’ll appreciate a cold shower when it’s 100+ degrees outside and the vent in the bathroom is actually a window type vent that brings the heat in. Always keep the bathroom door closed when the AC is on if you want your room to stay cool. Housekeeping stops by daily to clean the rooms. Housekeepers were nice. 24/7 security in the lobby. Security guards were nice. Security enforces mask policy. Hotel staff was also nice and welcoming. Checking starts at 3pm but they let us check in at 10am at no extra charge (can’t say this will be honored for everyone but it was a nice gesture). Check out is at 12pm. They let us use the pool’s bar area to eat amongst family since it was closed due to COVID. Price was reasonable during non-peak times. Between $50-$75 USD per night. Parking available around the corner but didn’t use it. No fridge or microwave in room. Coffee maker/coffee and water were complementary daily. Crossing the street to the beach/restaurants was the biggest con. If you have kids or older adults be prepared to run for your life cause the cars won’t stop for you. There is a crossing down the street by the Oxxo which is a safer route. In the other direction, you’ll find a big chain grocery store (Bodega Aurrera). I felt safe in and around the hotel just don’t go flashing your money and gold chains around and you should be good. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
