Excellent! The staff was great, food was fantastic, atmosphere is very cool (under this really old tree with lights dangling from it), and the drinks were amazing. We came from vidanta to la gorzadera just on reviews alone and it was definitely worth the trip. I can see why everyone loves this place.

I am giving it a three despite the good music and good food because the overall experience was really weird. First, you can only get in and out through a rope which a server has to open. 2nd, the servers speak forever (seemingly nice) but then are super pushy for you to get the "specials" so they can actually get more money. The server was overly polite in a weird-sci-fi-absurdist type of way, lingering over us and waiting awkwardly. He insisted on us getting the mojitos at least 4 times and when i ordered a regular coke he was visibly shocked. Their Caribbean pride is also weird because they are all mexicans, even the cook, and it's in acapulco (a Mexican tourist beach city). Overall, the servers made me feel uneasy because they kept watching me. They give you shots if you "like" them on fb, and in the end the food was really overpriced (my can of coke was 30 pesos). The hostess weirdly asked us what we would rate the place as we walked out and my bf said 8 bc it was overpriced and the service was weird and the hostess was really defensive about it. If you want to eat good food but also don't care about it being overpriced and dont care about really weird and pushy service that tries to get good ratings, come here.
